Andreas Marino is a young doctor who took over his grandfather's practice in a small countryside town. He is the series deuteragonist and the love interest of protagonist, Cati Abbott.

Personality

Andreas is a stern and proper man who goes out of his way to always act like a gentlemen. That is, until Cati is around. Despite his level-headedness, Andreas still finds himself in a panicked state every time Cati does something dangerous and is quick to lose his temper with her. Andreas is unable to control his "urges" around Cati which leads to him eventually coming to terms with his love for her.

Physical appearance

Andreas has dark hair and blue eyes, and is tall with straight posture and a lean physique. He is nearly always seen wearing a fancy suit, clean shaven, and well tended hair. However, he lets his appearance go when Cati goes missing because he's more focused on finding her than what he looks like. During his two month stay with his parents, Andreas grows a mustache (Jeff le Mustaché), but accidentally shaves half of it off while daydreaming about Cati. He later tries growing Jeff le Mustaché back and cuts a chunk off again when Cati startles him by bursting into the bathroom.

Love Interests

• Cati Abbott: Cati is Andreas' wife. Despite Cati being his complete opposite in terms of personality, the attraction to her was nearly instantaneous. He tried finding scientific excuses behind his feelings for her and even found some "plausible" ideas, but ultimately came to terms with how he felt for her. Andreas asked Cati to marry him on their first date to which she hesitantly agreed.

• Haylee Herrick (previous): Although Andreas and Haylee never harbored feelings for each other, they were briefly engaged (for not even 5 minutes according to Haylee) because the Herrick and Marino families felt the pair would be good for each other. Haylee quickly broke off the engagement because she couldn't imagine spending her life with someone as unadventurous as Andreas.

• Nicolette Chandon (previous): Andreas and Nicolette dated during college. Nicolette and Andreas once thought their relationship perfect because they believed that "marriage was giving up, working hard, and never complaining." Andreas eventually realized that this wasn't how he wanted to live his life and broke the relationship off. Nicolette was initially upset and left college to clear her head, finding a new passion and successful career in the process.

• Sebastián Nero: Sebastián is Andreas' best friend. While Andreas is a serious person, Sebastián is his opposite. When Cati isn't making things awkward or embarrassing for Andreas, Sebastián is instead.
